A gastronomic experience.
Go hunting for the exquisite Seafood with Jesper Voss (Fanø Oyster King). The Oyster lies on the banks on the east coast of the Island. At low tide it’s possible to get to the Oyster banks.
It’s a 20 minute walk on sandy soil, so it is for everyone. During the hike, Jesper will tell you about the Pacific Oyster and how it came to this area. Once we arrive at the banks, it won’t take long to fill the buckets with Oysters, they lie directly on the sandy Seabed.
Returning to the beach, we will go directly to our cabin, where Jesper will show that there are many ways to enjoy the Oyster, raw as well as grilled. We will also have a glass of white wine. The participants on the tour will get the chance to learn how to open the oyster and try out the different recipes.
Wellingtons is an advantage, as we walk directly on the seabed. It is possible to rent Wellingtons for 20 kr. Bring a small backpack, a bucket or something like that to carry the oysters.
Duration approx. 3 hours.
