A Wadden Sea hike to the Seal Bank is one of the most exciting things to do on Fanø. The Sand Bank southwest of Sønderho is the best spot in the National Park to see both the harbor seal and the gray seal. Normally there are between 200 and 400 seals.
At lowtide we will walk the 1,7 km on dry seabed from Sønderho beach to the sand bank. It is a tour that the entire family can do. We will make stops during the hike and Jesper will tell about the fascinating story about the seals and the surrounding nature.
We recommend wellingtons and warm clothes, because there is normally more wind and it is colder out there. In the Summer you can go barefoot.
You can rent wellingtons at Club Fanø’s office. (Sønderklit 4, Fanø Bad 6720 )
It is possible to bring a handcart or a stroller. You are also wellcome to bring your dog if it is in line.
